Texas Commission of Fire Protection- The mission of the Texas Commission on Fire Protection is to aid in the protection of lives and property of Texas citizens through the development and enforcement of recognized professional standards for individuals and the fire service. The commission's authority is defined by TX Gov't Code Chapter 419. The commission's strategic plan includes two major goals:

Texas A&M Fire & Emergency Services- offer emergency response training and instruction in over 130 areas at the renowned Brayton Fire Training Field in College Station, Texas, and customer-specified locations worldwide. We have provided fire training for emergency responders since 1929, when the State Firefighters’ and Fire Marshals’ Association of Texas chose Texas A&M University as the site for a permanent firefighter training school.
